You can make it the authentic way or try my add, in both way Kadalai Parupu Sundal is just awesome. Thanks to Sowmya for sharing this wonderful recipe with us.

a pinch asafetida
Salt – ½ tea spoon
1/2 tsp mustard Seeds
1/3 cup shredded Coconut
10 curry Leaves
2 Red Chili

Method Of Cooking
Soak the kadalai parupu in lukewarm water for 2 hours. Heat water in a thick bottom vessel and add the kadalai parupu. Add salt, asafetida to it It will take about 7 minutes to be ready. Take one kadalai parupu from the vessel and try to press it, if it get pressed with little force then it is ready. It should not be too easy to press, then it means that it is well cooked and it will become like a paste. Remove the kadalai parupu from heat and drain excess water if any and spread it to a plate. Heat 1 tea spoon of oil in a pan. Add Mustard seeds and when it starts to splutter, add the red chili and curry leaves and then add the cooked kadalai parupu.
